UIT images of M74 from the ASTRO-1 mission

The following images of the spiral galaxy M74 were obtained with the

Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UIT) during its first flight on the

ASTRO-1 Space Shuttle mission (STS-35).

This is an early release UIT image of spiral galaxy M74, taken in the UV light.

This image was taken by UIT during Astro-1 and is shown here in false-color.
