M4, Antares, and nebulae around Rho Ophiuchi

[M4 and Rho Ophiuchi nebulae]

UK Schmidt Telescope image of M4 (the reddish globular slightly right

of the lower middle), bright Antares in the lower left which enlightens a

“selfmade” (by stellar wind) nebulous cloud of yellowish cool gas, in which

faint globular NGC 6144 is very difficult to find, and hot blue Rho Ophiuchi

at top center which has its blue light reflected in surrounding dust.
